24/7 Emergency Service

Uline Distribution Center WI – Pleasant Prairie

“This was one of the largest jobs in Southeastern Wisconsin. So one of our challenges was just pure size. Roman did a fantastic job. They’re very professional. They did nice work all across the board.”

Randy Copenharve, Facility/Construction Manager, Uline

Challenge

Uline is the leading distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials to businesses throughout North America, and this mammoth facility contains more area than 18 football fields. The sheer size and height of the building demanded smart planning to guarantee that resources were always at hand.

Solution

Ensuring that the proper quantities of materials and equipment were on the job site at all times and utilizing our apprentices to distribute those items so that they were in the right place at the right time.

Roman wired 36 wrappers, building-mounted and pole-mounted exterior lighting, a guardhouse and an array of interior lighting. Planning and installing lighting was the biggest part of Roman’s job. The building’s interior spaces – including its 210 aisles – are illuminated by 1,925 units. The speed bays, perimeter areas around the aisles where fork trucks rapidly maneuver to fill orders, were lighted with 371 fixtures. The building exterior is also lighted with 106 building-mounted lights and 66 pole mounted lights.
