24/7 Emergency Service

PROJECTS

McDonald’s

Roman Electric partnered with DP&K, Inc. to enhance energy efficiency across 53 McDonald’s locations throughout Wisconsin. The initiative focused on replacing outdated lighting fixtures with modern LED solutions, aiming to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs while improving overall illumination within each restaurant.

Challenge

Each McDonald’s location operated with traditional lighting fixtures consuming 175 Watts continuously, 24 hours a day. The challenge was to implement a uniform lighting upgrade across multiple sites without disrupting daily operations, ensuring consistency in energy savings and lighting quality statewide.

Solution

Roman Electric systematically removed up to 40 existing fixtures per restaurant, installing 50 Watt LED flat panels in their place. This transition resulted in a substantial 125 Watt reduction per fixture, significantly lowering energy usage. Additionally, the new LED lights minimized the risk of food contamination due to lamp breakage and offered reduced maintenance needs, backed by a 5-year warranty.
